Turns out my wife is interested in one so we may head over to Fowlers in Bristol. If she likes it she'll trade in her '19 750 Honda that she bought there.
I think she may be very surprised!

I would expect considerable vibration at higher speeds compared to the CB400. Is that the case or have they tamed that characteristic of a single?
Vibrations are no worse than any other bike I have. Triumph have had a few issues which seem to be mainly centered around Euro5 'features' (and so have other brands). If you want to see how good it is, take one on a test ride. I think you will be very surprised at the performance.

Mike, I have the Speed 400 and I love it. It's lights, plenty of torque and well built. It performs well - not super fast but I'm not after that any more! The 400/4, in comparison, is a much more revvy bike but still fun. (I have 2 of those!) It'll be interesting to see how the RE Guerrilla 450 does against the triumph - similar type of bike and being launched in Spain - today, I think.....

The problem, Ted, with lined or half lined over trousers is that the lining catches on my boots and thus in an frantic bid to put them on, I end up in a pile on the ground!! I really like the Oxford ones but their lining is like the net material you get in swimming trunks.....

Anyone tried one of these ceramic oil additives? I was wondering if it was better than MoS2 (like the old MolySlip etc)
If it is really good, I would say mind your clutch

Actually I was thinking about it in my Guzzi Le Mans (which is a dry clutch) - but good point....

Ted, I bet they were better looking than my rubberised trousers I bought from Pride & Clark. They looked absolutely awful and were quite heavy (Dispatch rider issue maybe!) BUT they were 100% waterproof - which was what I was after as I did a lot or riding throughout the winter months. Oh, those were the days....

I know the word 'waterproof' is a misnomer but I want a pair of waterproof trousers that I can put on when out and about and then suddenly caught in the rain. Thus, I do not want to remove my boots and I do not want to have a lining that catches on the tread of my boots making the whole process something like a farce.
Any suggestions?
I like the Oxford rain & storm seal range (I have the rainseal jacket) but they have mesh linings....
