I've used Castrol (fork oil) SAE 10w...the Hayes manual recommends SAE 10-30 for the K0-K6

I would prefer something restored...working/mot/warrantee/history...I do know that www.classicbikes.co.uk had a Red K0 for sale same months ago and weather the price indicated of 12k from 'freddy' was this one, I am not sure. Alan

Hi Simon,
I have a K4 (same colour) not changed the top head set, but I did overhaul the carbs last year and had a few problems with setting up (purchased a standard CB750 carb kit,120 main jet) Anyhow after a bit of reseach I found that the USA immision laws changed in 1973 and the carb main jet was replaced with a 105 unit (K3,4,5) which runs hotter & leaner...I think..??.. Honda also modified the head gasket to compensate for the extra heat, hence the copper rings on the origonal gasket.
Hope the information helps, and please let us know if the new gasket has copper rings

I have written to Honda UK concerning the possibility of the model being launched in the UK...no reply as yet. I have implied that I have bought Honda's for 30 years and will be buying a new retro bike within 2 years...it may sway there decision...lol...anyhow I am sure all previoues posts have been on 'Youtube' to see the video's...nice bike

Hi Steve, The K2 was delivered to the UK upto 1975. Your last photo/research is correct for your bike. The other photo (orange flake K3-K5 American model. Blue machine is a K6 UK model ) Let us know how you get on with the restoration

Thank you for the replies. On inspection the previous owner had used a blob of silicone on each post, took a bit of time to cut around the blob's, but the badges came off eventually !
Thanks again

Hi all, Very simple problem. What is the best way to remove the existing tank badges? I have tried to lever on one side of the badge, but its a bit stiff.
Thanks Alan

Not seen overheated exhausts on a CB750 before, but I am not an expert. According to my Haynes CB750 book the alternator cover is a later type ( early model had shaded/grey Honda back ground with no recesses for mounting screw heads) Alan

My speedo is 5-7 mph too fast, but I always thought it was a feature with Japanese bikes?
