At last, after 3 weeks, I got my powdercoated frame back and have started the final assembly:

One from the side with a collector.

You can clearly see the curved lines.

Using the original items because of the fine flowing curves it's starting to look like something.

Try to keep the oilfilter accessable

Still no sign of my freshly painted frame, so I keep on working on the other bike. Have to change the exhaust system because of the noise level of the 4 megga's. Keep running into trouble with the 'guys in blue'. Since there are not a lot of aftermarket systems available anymore, have to build one myself. Am building a Yoshimura look-a-like 4 into 1.

Like this one.

Hello all,
I've just bought a CB750 engined chop in need of re-build and I need to ask some questions as I'm not sure what it's donors were......Firstly, can anyone confirm if this is an original CB750 wheel? If so, what model designation? It's 16\":-

Cheers,

Drumbrake seems to be original Honda K0-K6, but the rim is not original Honda never used 16\"rims.

Cheers.

Hey again,
I went to put the chain on my bike today, only to find that the front and rear sprockets do not accept the same size of chain. My engine(and front sprocket) is a '72, and the bike(and rear sprocket) is a '78 750F. Will an early rear sprocket mount to the later rim? Any info would be a big help!

Hey Fiddler,

The later models have a 'heavier' chain compaired to the earlier models,
630 instead of 530 size. 630=3/4\", 530=5/8\". Can't say for sure, but I think the sprockets will match. But like it's said: \"To measure is to know\".

Good luck.

And mounted it:

On the pic it looks like it's position is to flat but I've got a good view of the counter.

Hey people,

It's been awhile but that doesn't mean I am not doing anything. While waiting for my frame to come back from the painter, I'm working on the other one. Changed the position of the rev counter, because it interferred with the brake- and gas cables. Just made a bracket from stainless and some alloy mounting studs.

I see the breather tube that runs from the valve cover to the diffuser, but that's not the one I mean. The tube that I'm talking about runs from the oil reservoir to the back of the transmission. Is this just a breather for crank oil or does it supply lubricant to the gearbox?

Hey fiddler,

I know what you mean, I've got a'76 F1 and a '77 K6 both of them got 'big' breather pipes coming out of the back of the transmission. I also got a '72 K2 who has a smaller diameter breather pipe. Honda changed this because of the tendency of the older models to build up pressure inside the engine, so they made them 'breath' easier. It does not, at least should not, supply oil to the transmission.

Hey overthere,
It's a bit slow because I'm waiting for the blasted and painted frame so I can begin to build the bike. But for my other bike, the 'Hailwood' I bought a K&J box swingarm, build in Germany. Although it was originally for a Kwacker, I will make it fit and redo the chainadjusters.

Just had no time to build anotherone myself.

This week I dismantled the 'replica' bike to have the frame sandblasted and painted, so I can start with building up the bike. Changed to another set of clipons because had to move the brake and clutch lever more to the inside because of the 'endurance' fairing. Will show some pictures of the proces.

See ya, Rob

Here is one without the fairing:

Need to do some small modifications, specially mounting a scitcu rev counter and oil pressure gauge and cleaning up some parts.
