I'm 99% sure he has one Ash. I offered my RSA to David Silver for his museum and was told they already had one.
Maybe if you call them and ask for Charles Cheshire he might measure their tank for you?

He's evidently got a red one Dave according to his lists. I will be going to his 400 event ... maybe that's the time.

Seem to remember he got his SS50 from someone on here ... was that you?

Ha ha ..I started on a C200 90cc sports then quicky to a CD175A sloper that I passed my test on. Had a CB160 but never really got on with it.

I seem to remember that a member here had a lovely SS50 moped and sold it to possibly James May and it ended up in DS museum. Could be wrong though  :-[

I'll admit to having owned and used daily two mopeds when I was 16 yrs of age to get to college where I was studying for O levels.
Both were NSU Quickly models iirc my first was two speed (cost £10  a runner from Bob Minions when they were on Park St, Derby) the later one was a three speed both handlebar operated gears.

At weekends I used to do the Matlock Pilgrimage run to look at proper bikes!

Thanks for the positive comments on this and the microwave transformer spot-welder. Always encouraging when members spur you on.

JoJo (Steve) is going to be a way for a few weeks...so agreed to rough polish the other three carbs for him. Then I will send a pic to 'Miss Diane'  ;D at Prestige Electroplating, as she was the one who encouraged us that the carbs could be recovered successfully.

Left my mate 'Dodgy Roger' playing with his home-made vapour blaster yesterday. He was using a submersible pump to pump the water/glass slurry.... . I doubt that the pump is up to the job and will wear out in no time but always great to see people 'have a go' and hope I am proved wrong. He's got it in a nice cabinet though made of stainless steel with a pneumatically controlled top opening cover. Will post some pics on here. It definitely needs a windscreen wiper adding to the inspection window though.

Anyone elso had a go at a DIY vapour blaster?

Not quite all home made - my BiL has a small Powder Coating arrangement consisting initially of an old fan oven unit out of a fitted kitchen plus the spray gun and electric thing that provides the charge. He uses it to powder coat small items.

Last time I spoke to him he was thinking of using a tall metal filing cabinet case and transfering the oven elements into the cabinet so he could coat larger bike parts including doubling up on the heating elements. As he is looking to move house I think the larger unit is presently on hold as he has been selling some of his bike collection in part to make the move easier.

Just wanted to thank Ash on his help with these K0 carbs. I would have just tried to source some replacements after initial comments received.
He won't finish off the rest of the bike though! some people are so selfish.

Blinged JoJo's carbs up a bit more plus my Bomber CB450 14C carbs. Will leave Steve to do the final finishing but a result in my book.

Funnily enough the only K0 carbs on UK eBay were £450 and the same seller just bought my 400 tank off my wife !
